Whether people are aware of it or not, there is a battle declared against humans. It is a battle for what is true and what the TRUTH is. It is a battle of worldviews–one that tries to determine who we are, what we do, and how we should live. 

John 8: 31, So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, if you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. 32 And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. – AMP 

Jesus reveals to us how to be free and live free (know the Truth and live from Truth). God or the Holy Spirit is responsible for revealing the Truth to you, and you are responsible for knowing the Truth and applying it to your life to live in freedom and victory.
